1.0 INTRODUCTION TO THE PRIVACY POLICY
1.1 Purpose
Real Estate Institute of Canada | Institut canadien de l’immeuble (hereafter referred to as REIC)
is committed to protecting the privacy and confidentiality of all personal information of
individuals who interact with our organization. This Privacy Policy outlines our practices
regarding the collection, use, disclosure, and safeguard of personal information in accordance
with applicable privacy laws in Canada. By accessing or using our services, you consent to the
practices described in this Privacy Policy.
The Privacy Policy will be made available to the public and members on the REIC website. The
Privacy Policy will be reviewed annually by the Board of Directors (hereafter referred to as the
Board) and can be amended from time to time at the discretion of the Chief Executive Officer
(hereafter referred to as CEO) and the Board.
2.0 INFORMATION WE COLLECT
Personal information is used to provide services, manage membership, process payments, and
communicate with members. REIC may also use personal information for research, marketing,
and improving our services, with the consent of the individual.
REIC may collect personal information from individuals in the following ways:

organization, such as when you fill out forms, communicate with us, or engage in activities

Note: REIC asks that members submit their personal contact information (not employer contact
information).
