1.0 INTRODUCTION TO THE PRIVACY POLICY

1.1 Purpose

Real Estate Institute of Canada | Institut canadien de l’immeuble (hereafter referred to as REIC)

is committed to protecting the privacy and confidentiality of all personal information of

individuals who interact with our organization. This Privacy Policy outlines our practices

regarding the collection, use, disclosure, and safeguard of personal information in accordance

with applicable privacy laws in Canada. By accessing or using our services, you consent to the

practices described in this Privacy Policy.

The Privacy Policy will be made available to the public and members on the REIC website. The

Privacy Policy will be reviewed annually by the Board of Directors (hereafter referred to as the

Board) and can be amended from time to time at the discretion of the Chief Executive Officer

(hereafter referred to as CEO) and the Board.

2.0 INFORMATION WE COLLECT

Personal information is used to provide services, manage membership, process payments, and

communicate with members. REIC may also use personal information for research, marketing,

and improving our services, with the consent of the individual.

REIC may collect personal information from individuals in the following ways:

REIC collects personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when interacting with our

organization, such as when you fill out forms, communicate with us, or engage in activities

related to our services. Personal information may include, but is not limited to:

Name, address, email address, and phone number.

Professional credentials

Payment information

Financial information for donation or sponsorship purposes.

Employment or volunteer history for recruitment and designation approval purposes.
